ABOUT FRANCES LOOM
Heather Kane is the owner and principal designer of Frances Loom. A lifelong aesthete (hello libra), she nurtured a passion for renovation and interiors while building tech companies around the world.
Heather has designed all of her own spaces, many of which have been published in interior magazines and blogs (and they’re some of the most loved images on Frances Loom’s Instagram). She’s currently renovating a Victorian flat in Notting Hill, and you can get all the updates by following @byheatherkane (a more personal deep dive into all things reno-related).
FAQ
How do the antique rugs arrive?
We store lots of our rugs rolled up. So it's perfectly normal to see fold marks when you unpack them. Don't worry - within a few days the creases will have fallen out completely. PS, we love swapping our own rugs out between seasons, and you'll be surprised how little room they take up like this!
Are your rugs professionally cleaned?
All of our rugs are professionally shampooed prior to shipping. As is the nature of antiques, you'll sometimes find little fibres that shake out when you first lay it down. This is perfectly normal and nothing a quick vacuum won’t solve.
What happens if I spill on my antique rug?
Tackling spills & stains
Prevent liquid stains by firmly blotting spills with a damp, undyed cloth. We recommend folex carpet spot remover.
When a heavier clean is needed, always use a professional rug cleaner. You can often find great local places on Yelp.
Where should I put the rug?

Do I need a rug pad?
We always recommend purchasing a rug pad with your rug as they keep everything in place and significantly reduce wear and tear. You can shop rug pads here!
